Detailed Shark Tank product reviews
Roy Ash once said, “An entrepreneur tends to bite off more than he can chew hoping he’ll quickly learn how to chew it.” This is the case for many entrepreneurs who get the privilege to appear on Shark Tank. Sometimes the Sharks roll with it, other times entrepreneurs don’t stand a chance. Lindsey Laurain from Colorado certainly fit this mold quite well during her 2015 appearance on Shark Tank.
Lindsey and her husband Brad were fed-up during meal times with their messy kids. As a busy mom of 3 young children, she decided to come up with a solution for less mess and faster clean up after meals.
Lindsey dreamed up The ezpz Happy Mat, an all-in-one silicone mat and bowl that suctions directly to flat surfaces, preventing children from knocking plates and other dishes onto the floor or throwing it during tantrums. This idea was unique, as nothing like this had previously existed when she desperately looked for this kind of product.
The ezpz Happy Mat comes in various cheerful colors and has a cute, friendly face that helps separate the food for the child. It’s also durable and safely made from 100% food-grade silicone, free from BPA, BPS, PVC, latex, phthalate, and other harmful chemicals. Silicone is often praised for its inability to grow mold, bacteria, or fungus. The mats are also stackable, making meal prep for many mouths manageable. This feature also makes it very easy to stack them for storage.
Lindsey had her children’s health and future in mind when making this mat, as the happy face makes up three compartments with plenty of room for appropriate servings of fruits or veggies, proteins, and carbs. The compartments are deep enough to accommodate cereal with milk or pasta. The point of the Happy Mat is to help engage the children in the natural behavior of self-feeding. This helps them to develop their fine motor skills.
What’s even better is that the mat is both dishwasher and microwave-safe. It can even be used in the oven (up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit). Genius, right? What parent wouldn’t want this for their young children with all of these amazing benefits? Countless times I have watched my niece, and nephew (ages 5 and 8) manage to get cake, spaghetti, and other soft foods pretty much everywhere else but their mouths.
Lindsey funded the development and production of the ezpz Happy Mat through Kickstarter, raising over $70,000. After appearing at a kid’s expo in Las Vegas, she made multiple contacts with industries that were willing to potentially sell her product. The only problem was that she needed more money for the logistical operations and production numbers. To make this a reality, she applied to be on Shark Tank.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go so well from the very beginning of the shower. She had lost their support immediately when she offered only 5% stakes in exchange for a significant 1 million dollar investment. Obviously, she did not do her research in who she was dealing with and the typical offers the Sharks would bite at.
She was interrupted immediately by comments from the Sharks but smiled politely and carried on gracefully with her pitch. She proceeded to show a short video of her children chaotically making a mess while eating so that others could relate, then demonstrated to the Sharks how efficiently the Happy Mat could work. After demonstrating this, she showed a second video of a more organized and peaceful meal while her children used their Happy Mats.
Lindsey told the Sharks that the Happy Mat would be selling for $25 and 50% profit margin belonged to her for each unit. Kevin O’Leary immediately wanted to know more info about the sales, forewarning her that sales would need to be significantly high to gain support.
Lindsey, again, did not do so well for herself when she admitted she was initially was going to come to the tank with a valuation five times higher than what she had just stated. She quickly continued to lose the trust of the Sharks, who had been burned before, but just as quickly she tried to shift into damage control mode by telling them that 2014 had brought gross sales worth over $1.2 million.
The Sharks were not taking the bait, even when she stated that she had been in contact with around 400 international distributors who were interested in her product.
Lindsey was asked if the product had been patented, to which she replied that it was still pending. The Sharks displayed their disappointment before they started to circle in for the final attack. When asked about her profits, she admitted she was only at 14%, not 50%. They scoffed 5-year projected $20 million.
While Robert had laughed at Lindsey’s answers to his questions, Kevin, who had been teeming with rage with clenched hands, at one point stated, “I’m trying to be kind before I absolutely eviscerate you.”
Lindsey tried to remain confident but the Sharks seemed to see right through it. Robert and Lori had dropped out, but Kevin, who had been the most agitated of all, gave a conditional offer, taking the 5% for $1 million, but if she didn’t get to $10 million as she promised, he would get 20% instead. Barbara had made a similar offer.
Lindsey, still licking her wounds from the attacks, declined the offers and left the Sharks. Later, when asked about her experience, she stated that she had declined the offers because they “Didn’t feel right”— following her intuition.
Since her unpleasant experience with the show, the popularity of the product sky-rocketed. The mat is now a highly reviewed award-winning product and available on Amazon and various other websites, currently rated 4.5/5 stars.
It goes to show that if you truly believe in something, you have everything you need to make it happen. Perhaps the Colorado mom will invent more products that will stick, just like her mats, to more companies, changing the lives of frustrated parents everywhere!
What’s the deal with CBD? Does it really work? Will it get me high? What is it made out of? You’ve come to the right place. Although no CBD Oil or CBD oil company were not featured on Shark Tank, All questions you might’ve had about CBD oils and many others will be answered in this article as we explore the power CBD oils.
CBD stands for cannabidiol, a natural oil which comes from the flower of the cannabis plant. It is a supplement that has been embraced by many different cultures for thousands of years, from ancient China to ancient Egypt, Classical Greece, through the Spanish Conquest, and used all the way up until the 1930’s! But it was only two decades ago that we really started to discover the benefits, especially for the brain and bod!
It is a natural alternative to the chemical-laden and dangerous pharmaceutical medicines that are quite often pushed upon us by our healthcare providers. If you’re like me, and these medications just DON’T work for you, then you NEED to try some CBD! Trust me; your body will thank you in the long run.
For years I suffered from pain that no pain reliever would even touch. I was diagnosed with adenomyosis when I was only 32 years old. Adenomyosis is a debilitating disease whereby the inner lining of the uterus grows into the (outer) muscle wall. It can be excruciating, causing labor-like pains, enough to make me vomit, and other awful symptoms. My options were to take birth control or get a hysterectomy. After trying birth control for several months and still coming down with horrible pain, on a daily basis, I couldn’t take the pain anymore. It was beginning to destroy my mental health. So I opted for the hysterectomy, knowing I would never have children.
But before I went under the knife, a phone call changed my life. I was feeling pretty low after suffering all day in pain. I called one of my best friends and told her I was going to have a hysterectomy. That’s when she told me all about a supplement that changed my life… CBD.
The first time I tried CBD during one of my painful flare-ups I noticed the effect immediately. It didn’t just take the edge off; it completely took my pain away! My life would forever be changed. I no longer needed a life-altering surgery. CBD helped me get my life back! And it can help you too!
CBD is an EXCELLENT CHOICE for those who suffer from the following:
⎫ Chronic Pain
The list truly goes on and on!
Check out My Natural CBD Oil has a great line of 100% pure and amazing CBD products. From beauty products to edibles and more, this is the top-choice for everything I need CBD.
While these products have not made it to Shark Tank, I cannot recommend them enough!
Has chronic pain slowed you down or taken away the life you once loved? Order today and get your life back with this product! By relieving your pain, it will help get you moving, letting you live an active and pain-free life once again. I love My Natural because they offer a quality product that is scientifically proven to help. They manufacture their product from family farms with the most strict regulations in order to protect their beloved customers. Plus, they have a secure website, unlike some other sketchy CBD websites. And the best part? They’re so sure you will love their product that they offer a 30-Day no-risk money-back guarantee! That’s a rare find in this industry!
Yes, you can still take CBD. Unlike THC, My Natural CBD Oil will not show up in a drug test. Other brands may cause a failure because their ingredients are often a blend of THC and CBD. Another thing to keep in mind is that you must be 18+ to place an order.
CBD is very safe. It is made from ingredients straight from the Earth itself. It is also non-addictive, so you need not to worry about that. Though CBD is related to THC (the chemical in marijuana responsible for making you feel “high”), they are not the same. CBD does not cause the intoxicated feeling like THC does. CBD and THC have different actions on the brain. However, if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking other medications, you should always consult with your provider first.
My Natural works rapidly to ease your muscle and joint pain in a specially formulated spray. All you have to do is spritz some on your body. When it gets absorbed, you will reap the benefits. CBD works as an anti-inflammatory agent, helping put out the fire in the body. You’ll feel like your whole body is years younger!

Many people don’t realize that the cause of chronic back pain is merely poor posture. They mindlessly swallow dozens of Advil because they are plagued with pain that could be fixed naturally. BetterBack, which aired on Shark Tank Season 7 enjoyed an investment from Lori Greiner, is an innovative posture belt that supports your lower back. It may well be the last and final solution to lower back pain. Comfortable, easy-to-use, and affordable, BetterBack will help improve your posture in as little as 15 minutes a day. The product can even be combined with a hot or cold pack that can be purchased additionally. Hot or cold treatment is known to reduce inflammation and relieve pain quickly. BetterBack since appearing on Shark Tank and getting an investment of $750,000 is now making $3 Million a year. It can be purchased on Amazon for a very reasonable price. However, the only downfall is that the size only fits up to 36” waists. Improve your posture, improve your life!
Another fabulous product for back pain available on the Amazon market is Lo-Bak Trax. Although it did not appear on Shark Tank, Investor Lori Greiner saw one of the creators tweets about back pain and readily bought one for her dad. They loved it so much that in July 2014, she reached out to him and helped him get onto QVC. This product has been cleared by the FDA and helps provide pain relief for lower back pain and injuries such as degenerative spinal disease, lower back weakness/muscle pain, sciatica and more! You can also use the device to stretch your tight hamstrings or hip muscles. Using non-powered orthopedic traction, it helps to stretch and decompress the spine and discs, taking away the pain and pressure. The only negative thing we can say about it is that we wish it came with the SolidBack treatment device which is sold separately (also at an affordable price), but this is not necessary to use the Lo-Bak Trax; it only increases comfort. This device can be used on your bed or floor. It’s easy to use and affordable and has many different uses. We think every gym should carry one of these! Imagine the hundreds of dollars saved in Chiropractor visits…
Arctic Blast Pain Relief is topical oil that helps get to the root of the pain quickly and keeps it away for hours. The key ingredient is Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO), a natural by-product from producing paper. A cheap product that actually relieves pain? Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, there is one downfall. DMSO is not currently regulated by the FDA. However, it has been proven in studies to provide analgesic effects to both joint and tissue pain.
The company states that there are no reported adverse side effects from the product. However, caution should still be used with the product. Ask your doctor if the product is safe for you to use. Also, as with any topical supplement, you should first test the oil on a small patch of skin to ensure you don’t have an adverse reaction. Arctic Blast Pain Relief is a better, more effective way to deal with pain. Though this product has not been featured on Shark Tank, it sure has our vote!
When we talk about wireless video doorbells we talk about security on the whole, and when we talk about security we talk about a demanding product. From celebrities to normal people that are looking for the ideal accessory that allows them to have total control of their front door whether their home or away.
The video doorbells that have the highest ratings thanks to their security features are made by Ring formally known as Doorbot (when it famously appeared on Shark Tank and went on to be acquired by Amazon for 1 billion!), and Skybell. But which one is better? Here on this article we’re going to analyze Skybell vs Ring and see which one is superior.
When Jamie Siminoff went on ABC’s “Shark Tank” to try and pitch his company “Doorbot” in 2013, he presented his invention a WiFi-enabled doorbell that allows you to see video of and talk to people as they arrive at your front door without you being at home, this seemed as not a profitable deal at the time for the judges except for Kevin O’leary, who made an offer but did not make the cut for Siminoff. Meaning doorbot did not make a deal, which left him devastated.
Always in life bad times will lead to great times
“I remember after that ‘Shark Tank’ episode literally being in tears,” he tells CNBC Make It. “I needed the money, we were out of money at the time.”
He spent $10,000 into building props for the pitch, and the company’s staff of 8 had spent 1 month preparing for the show, After leaving the show without no investor, it seemed all efforts were made in vain. The critiques from investors like Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner about the product’s ability to sell were fresh objections mirroring others doubts about his idea.
Those people may wish they had paid more attention. The business, now rebranded as Ring and offering a suite of connective home security products, has seen immense growth since Siminoff appeared on “Shark Tank.”
It has now been a couple years since ‘Shark Tank,’ the business is now valued a fortune and was sold to amazon for $1.2-$1.8 billion, talk about blessing in disguise!
So now that we know the company background let’s get down to the details and check out their features.
What’s likable about the package of Ring is that it comes with everything you need to install the doorbell. The Ring Wi-Fi Enabled Video Doorbell can also be installed on any surface, including wood, stucco and cement. The package includes the following items:
The Ring Wireless Doorbell works with iOS® and Android™ mobile device. The minimum requirements are iOS 7.1+ and Android 4.0+. Wi-Fi internet connection (802.11 b/g/n 2.4Ghz).
You can connect the Ring to your existing doorbell wiring, or use the built-in battery.
The concept is really simple. Someone presses your doorbell, the signal travels through your Wi-Fi network and reaches your phone.
As soon as you see the notification on your smartphone and open the Ring application, you’ll be able see who’s standing next to your door, you can talk to him/her directly and have a two-way conversation. The best part is that the visitor can’t see you.
if you’re at work or far from home, the system still allows you to answer the door.
The video quality of Ring is quite good and captures in 720p HD.
The motion detection feature is really sensitive and perfectly does its job.
When someone approaches your door the sound of a chime will ring through your phone and you can launch the app and talk to him directly.
Or you can use Ring’s cloud recording, save the video and watch it later.
The camera, as we said, has a 720p HD video quality which is pretty good.
Ring has a 180-degree field of view, which is practically enough for any type of home.
And lets not forget Ring’s ideal night-vision, it gets a clear image of visitors that come in the night.
Skybell is Ring’s biggest competitors and is one of the most top-rated wireless doorbells. The skybell company has been trying to update their features with the new “Skybell HD”
By innovating features and visual aspects, Skybell offers a efficient doorbell that perfectly serves its owner and home.
It works with 5 steps:
After you’ve attached Skybell you’ll have to download the Skybell app and register.
Skybell is a round, 2.8 inches in diameter and 0.8 inches thick doorbell. It comes in two color, Silvery Brushed Aluminum and Oil Rubbed Bronze.
Skybell works with the wires and can be powered with built-in batteries. Note, that skybell should be connected to a low-voltage transformer.
Compared to Ring, Skybell has a slightly dull resolution (640-by-480-pixel) and the field of view is 130-degree (Ring boasts with a 180-degree field of view).
The features of Skybell doorbell are:
The motion sensor of Skybell is really good but it lacks the ability to adjust the motion sensitivity and another drawback of Skybell is that you can’t record videos like Ring can. But don’t think everything’s bad news, it features a different quality which gives you an option to watch live from your phone, and allows you to take snaps of things happening outside.
And the winner is…
After detailing both Ring and skybell devices i’ve came to the following conclusions:
Summing up the comparison of Skybell and Ring, i would have to give the #1 spot to Ring, just cause it has more positive reviews and a better design overall making it the top-rated and the best-seller wireless doorbell. But if you’re still willing to purchase Skybell, don’t have second thoughts, as it is also a very efficient doorbell with good features.
We’ve seen how things could change drastically so let’s see what the future holds for Skybell, it definitely has the potential to steal the #1 spot from Ring.

Whether you have a friend who has hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) or just a clean freak who is turned off by the sight of sweat stains, this is the ideal gift. Well, these undershirts have a distinct sweat-proof material that is designed to entirely stop the presence of sweat marks.

With the dream pad pillow, getting home after a hard of work will be something you look forward to every evening.
Most people might not consider this a gift. But, safety is the best gift you can give your loved ones. Research has shown that most fires are caused by an unattended stove but here is a device that changes that. FireAvert is a simple plug-in device that works as an emergency breaker that cuts the power to a range that has caught fire before it gets out of control. With this product then you ensure that you are not among the many victims of a disastrous kitchen fire.
The best thing about this as a gift is that it is functional and you don’t have to worry whether you’re getting it for a guy or a lady. It is a thoughtful piece that could potentially save lives in the future.

How often do you cringe in pain seeing your child topple over their bike because they pressed the front brakes too hard? Do you want to buy a bike as a gift to a nephew, niece or even your own child but the thought of the “head over handlebars” incident is hold you back? The Guardian Bike might be the solution you have been hoping for.
The brakes on the bike are controlled by one handlebar squeeze rather than two as is the case in most bicycles. This means that your child will focus on being balanced and will also be aware of his surroundings rather than squeezing two pumps at once.
The bike is made with safety as a priority. It takes a lot of effort to concentrate on keeping balance when riding. For children, it might not come easy and having less equipment without affecting the functionality of the bike could go a long way in helping them concentrate on what matters – balance.
Now you have a variety of gifts to get for your family or your friends. They actually bring people together and you do not have to wait for a special occasion just to give one. All you have to do is buy one and give it to them or even gift yourself. With these great gift suggestions, you will never run out of ideas no matter what the occasion is.
What’s more, these gift ideas are not only ideas. They have been used by other people who are quite impressed with their design and ability to deliver. You will be giving a great gift that won’t disappoint.

Co-founders Geoff Woo and Michael Brandt entered the Shark Tank during the 8th season, with the highest company valuation every given on the show. Nootrobox was a San Franciscan start-up which made energy and productivity supplements.
Nootrobox presented the Sharks with their latest product, Go Cubes, chewable coffee-infused gummy cubes designed to boost productivity, energy, and brain power. Before their appearance on Shark Tank, Nootrobox was already making a successful profit. In 2014, they made $55,000 in sales, and had made a total of $1 million in sales-to-date when they appeared on Shark Tank. They also reported about 17% month-over-month growth at this point. And while these numbers may look good, the Sharks didn’t seem to fully understand the product or its applications.
Woo and Brandt were asking for an investment of $2 million from the Sharks in exchange for 5% in the business. This indicates a company valuation of a staggering $40 million, the highest company valuation in Shark Tank history. The Sharks focused on the valuation, which the pair compared to investing in Apple. This was not a popular analogy at this point in the proceedings. Woo and Brandt also felt they weren’t given ample opportunity to explain how this product worked.
The Shark investors were all unfamiliar with this type of product, its market and the potential applications. Lori Greiner told the pair that they were very science-orientated but not sales-orientated. Kevin O’Leary said “I think you guys are flying very close to the sun”. Nootrobox ultimately left the Shark Tank without a deal.
While the Sharks may not have understood the potential of Nootrobox, the general public certainly did. After the Shark Tank episode aired, Google searches for their signature product, Go Cubes, spiked and sales vastly increased. They made enough money to invest in further R&D, and develop a full product range.
Nootrobox make supplements designed boost memory, enhance mental clarity, and improve sleep patterns. They use a combination of caffeine and nootropics.
Their website classifies nootropics as the following: “Nootropics are a broad classification of cognitive-enhancing compounds that produce minimal side effects and are suitable for long-term use. These compounds include those occurring in nature or already produced by the human body (such as neurotransmitters), and their synthetic analogs.” This concept is related to bio-hacking, the idea that we can tap into, and enhance, human ability.
Nootrobox offer four specific nootropic “stacks”, or combinations of ingredients, which, when used together, offer “a complete toolkit to provide energy & focus, improve memory, protect your brain and body, and improve sleep quality.”
These four nootropic stacks are:
Rise – A daily nootropic to enhance memory, stamina and mental resilience. This blend includes 300mg of bacopa monnieri, 300mg of rhodiola, and 300 mg of alpha GPC. Bacopa has been used for thousands of years and is one of the most well-researched Ayurvedic herbs. Rhodiola is a powerful adaptogen with anti-fatigue properties, and alpha GPC is an incredibly effective source of raw choline (water-soluble vitamin-like essential nutrient).
Sprint – This increases alertness while reducing stress, and provides 4-6 hours of “flow state to get the job done”. Sprint blends caffeine and L-theanine in a 1:2 ratio, which is well-founded scientifically.
Kado-3 – A daily omega-3 based nootropic stack to improve mood and protect the brain & body. This stack is their main omega-3 fatty acid (DHA / EPA) product, effective compounds for enhancing neurogenesis, the formation of nervous tissue. Kado-3 is probably best effective when used in conjunction with other Nootrobox products, and less effective than the other nootropics stacks when used alone.
Yawn – A non-habit-forming sleep aid to help you fall asleep faster, improve sleep quality, and wake up refreshed. Yawn uses magnesium citrate as a pre-sleep supplement. Whilst magnesium in other forms is a successful, non-addictive sleep supplement, there is a possibility that the citric acid from the citrate form can cause other issues with adrenal fatigue. This supplement is probably their least effective overall in its purpose, but again, when used in combination with the above nootropic stacks, can provide a good overall enhancing effect.
These products have all been thoroughly researched and have proven safe and effective. Their effects may differ from person to person, with some seeing no added value to their lives and others finding the physical and neural enhancements a massive benefit. So they are certainly worth a try if you are interested in trying nootropics and testing the concept of bio-hacking for yourself.
Hopeful entrepreneurs lucky enough to make it on to Shark Tank have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to the world’s most successful business people and investors. With nine seasons under its belt, Shark Tank viewers have seen almost every bad idea possible, from the Ionic Ear (a surgically implanted Bluetooth device) to the beer, golf course or football scented Man Candle. However, some ideas have become incredible success stories after receiving much needed investment from the Sharks. Here are some of the most successful products featured on Shark Tank.

Scrub Daddy is a smiling sponge designed to clean both sides of kitchen utensils at once. The clever sponge rinses clean of debris easily, becomes firm in cold water but soft in warm water, and has been lab tested to resist odors for two months. Lori Greiner saw innovation in its design in Season 4, and offered an investment of $200,000 for 20% equity.
Scrub Daddy is now available on QVC and can be found in Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, Walmart and Staples. Until Shark Tank, the company had made $100,000 in sales. Since the show, Scrub Daddy has gone on to make over $50 million, making it one of the greatest success stories to come from Shark Tank.
ResteREST is a magnetic eyeglass holder, designed to keep your glasses securely attached to your shirt. During Season 3 of Shark Tank, Rick Hopper pitched his invention to the Sharks and Lori Greiner bit. She invested $150,000 in exchange for a whopping 65% share of the company. The simple but popular product regularly sells out on QVC and according to Business Insider, ReadeREST made $13 million in revenue in the three years following its appearance on the show.
The Squatty Potty, designed by Bobby Edwards, is a toilet stool which raises the feet to help with constipation. In Season 6, ‘QVC Queen’ Lori Geiner knew this idea was marketable. She was joined by fellow Shark Kevin O’Leary and together they offered $350,000 for 10% equity. Within 24 hours of making the deal on Shark Tank, Squatty Potty saw $1 million in sales. This rose to $12.3 million in the first three months. They have since made a deal with Bed, Bath & Beyond and enjoy continued success.
Created by Charles Michael Yim, the BACtrack Mobile Smartphone Breathalyzer for iPhone and Android Devices ingeniously turns your smartphone into a breathalyzer. Not only does the product give an alcohol level reading, it can even hail a cab if required!
This innovative product made Shark Tank history in Season 5 by becoming the first product all five Sharks invested in. Yim was given $650,000 in exchange for 30% of the company and in 2014 the company was projected to make $10-12 million in revenue, based on pre-orders.
In Season 4, Evan Mendelsohn and Nick Morton pitched their idea for ugly Christmas sweaters to the Sharks. Before appearing on Shark Tank, Tipsy Elves had already made $600,000 after a year of sales, cashing in on the love for themed fun during the holiday season. Whilst considered a fleeting trend by some, Shark Robert Herjavec saw something more in the idea and invested $100,000 for a 10% stake in the company. He has since told Business Insider it was his most profitable and favorite investment of the show.
Since appearing on Shark Tank, the Tipsy Elves’ range of novelty “ugly” clothing has diversified and now includes everything from 80’s retro ski-suits to sweatbands and fanny packs emblazoned with the Star-Spangled Banner. In 2016, the company made $8 million and landed the license to mass produce the yuletide sweater Seth Rogen wore in the movie ‘The Night Before’.
Lani Lazzari was only 18 years old when she appeared on Season 4 of Shark Tank to pitch Simple Sugars. An all natural skincare range catering to those with dry or sensitive skin, Lazzari had carefully researched safe and gentle ingredients that smelled great for her Simple Sugars range. Mark Cuban decided to invest $100,000 in return for 33% equity.
Within 24 hours of her appearance on Shark Tank, sales of Simple Sugars products had jumped from $50,000 to $220,000. Within six weeks, this had hit an incredible $1 million. Today, Simple Sugars sells nationwide and internationally, employs a team of 22 people, appears in over 700 retail locations, and last year brought in over $3 million in revenue.
With a background in architecture, Max Gunawan brought his Lumio foldable magnetic-lamp to the Sharks during Season 6 of the show. An accordion style, fold away reading light in the guise of a book, Robert Herjavec invested $350,000 for a 10% share in Lumio.
In 2016, Lumio made $3 million in sales, appealing to a high-end, artistic audience. With an elegant and popular design, Lumio has been written about in many publications, from the Wall Street Journal to GQ Magazine, and was named as one of the “Top 10 Most Innovative Crowdfunded Companies” by Entrepreneur Magazine.
In Season 6, Former Navy SEAL Eli Crane and his wife Jen pitched the novel idea of Bottle Breacher to the Sharks. The company employed military veterans and manufactured elegant looking bottle openers out of .50-caliber bullets. Both Mark Cuban and Kevin O’Leary made a deal with the couple, investing $150,000 in exchange for a 20% stake in the business.
With demand increasing, O’Leary has said it was one of his most profitable investments from the show, with Bottle Breacher making $2.5 million in sales in 2017 and now employing 32 people.
Music teacher and parent Travis Perry created ChordBuddy after helping his daughter to learn to play guitar. ChordBuddy is a device which attaches to the neck of an electric or acoustic guitar and features colored tabs to help novices learn the instrument. Clever and effective, ChordBuddy impressed Shark Robert Herjavec when it appeared on Season 4 of Shark Tank. Herjavec invested $175,000 for a 20% share of the business.
ChordBuddy saw revenue of approximately $2 million in 2014 and has ensured its successful growth by attracting a company spokesperson in the form of John Rich, from the popular country duo ‘Big and Rich’.
Hold Your Haunches
Hold Your Haunches are shape-defining fashion trousers featuring an extendable waistband and an inner compression shell from the waist to the calf. The trousers are designed hold and sculpt the wearer’s shape via the dual contouring under layer and flowing outer layer.
In the year leading up to their appearance on Shark Tank in Season 5, creators Erin Bickley and Jenny Greer reported sales of $165,000. Six months after Sharks Barbara Corcoran and Lori Greiner invested $75,000 for 40% stake in the business (plus extended a $100,000 credit line), Hold Your Haunches saw more than $1.5 million in profits. Their fashion line has since expanded to include skirts, dresses, tops, and more, all featuring the same inspired shape-defining technology.
BuggyBeds was pitched by Veronica Perlongo and Maria Curcio on Season 4 of Shark Tank and acts as an early detection and prevention system for bed bugs. All five Sharks showed an interest in this inventive idea and split the $250,000 investment for 25% equity. Since then, BuggyBeds can be found in approximately 350 Home Depot locations, is sold in 23 countries worldwide, and is estimated to have made over $1.2 million in sales.
Lollacup, featured on Season 3 of Shark Tank, is an example of a very simple but clever product. Designed by Hanna and Mark Lim, this cute and colorful child’s ‘sippy cup’ allows infants to effectively drink from the straw without spillage. The flexible straw features a weighted end which anchors the liquid, allowing small children to drink with the cup tilted. Conveniently, there are no valves within, making it easy to clean.
Funded by Mark Cuban and Robert Herjavec, offering $100,000 for 40% equity in the company, Lollacup went on to make over $1 million in sales since appearing on Shark Tank and is stocked in Walmat. According to Business Insider, it is the most successful product for kids to come from the show.

Many Shark Tank products fall through because they’re either not functional, not practical, unaffordable, or simply not anything that a regular person would use during their daily life. However, the so-called Warm-Blood Shark Lori Greiner, one of the investors on the hit ABC show Shark Tank, knew this fitness board was an instant winner. Not only was the board easy to market – highly visual and engaging to viewers – it’s also an accessory than nearly anyone from any walk of life can use to improve their everyday fitness routine.
So what sits the Simply Fit Board apart from similar designs? It’s certainly not the first ever fitness or balancing board to hit the market. However, the Simply Fit Board is believed to be the first balance board with a rounded, curved design ideal for twisting. The twisting motion engages more of your core muscles, legs, and glutes than other competitors’ boards will, not to mention the fact that the fitness board can support up to 400 pounds of weight and most competitors can’t support more than 200-300 pounds!
How does it work, you may ask? It might look complicated or scary, but it really just takes some practice to get it right! Start by placing the board on the floor (rugs are ideal, and hardwood and slick linoleum are not recommended, as it risks slipping and sliding) and simply place one foot on the outer edge of the board.
There are textured circles on the board to act as a guide for you. Once you have one foot on, this will tip the Simply Fit Board to a flat, upright position. The next step is the part that requires a little confidence and faith. Hold on to a nearby wall or object if you need to and hop up with your other foot on the outer edge of the board.
Practice rocking yourself from side to side until you’ve found your center of gravity. Don’t be ashamed if it takes some getting used to! Once you feel secure in your balance, you can start twisting your hips in a semicircular motion. Be sure to be twisting from the waist, not your knees! Once you have the basics down, the rest is up to you.
The Simply Fit Board allows busy people to customize their workout. You can bring the board to the gym or simply workout straight from the convenience and privacy of your own home. You can focus only on balance or add some weights and other tools to get a more rigorous workout.
The Simply Fit Board is ideal for simple twists to burn away that pesky belly fat by directly targeting your core muscles. That’s why it’s so important you keep the twist limited to your waist while your legs and feet stay grounded. Some more advanced exercises involve using the Simply Fit Board as a place for your hands as you move from standing twists to pushups, plants, and any variation you can think of. Hand weights and ankle weights make great additions to the Simply Fit Board as they’re so versatile, allowing you to design a customized fitness routine.
The lightweight and portable Simply Fit Board comes in an array of bright colors, and since their success on Shark Tank, the company has expanded their product line somewhat. For instance, there are three DVD’s available at only $10 each, each with their own specific workout instructions. TheCore & BunsWorkout targets your abs and glutes, the Low Impact Workout is ultra-safe and ideal for beginners, and the 21 Day Challenge Workout guides viewers through three weeks of a follow-along program to get you on your way to your ideal body.
Additionally, the Simply Fit Board comes with an optional Simply Fit Mat, designed to place some traction between the mat and the floor if you find your flooring too slippery to work with the mat. The mat prevents slippage and keeps the board grounded so you don’t have to worry about falling.
Each purchase of the Simply Fit Board also comes with a user guide and a beginner workout DVD at no additional cost, which most users find extremely handy as they get used to the Simply Fit Board.
Don’t be discouraged if you’re struggling at first – it’s natural to take a little while before you can master the basic balance-and-twist technique.
The final verdict? We definitely recommend the Simply Fit Board if you’re looking for a beginner-friendly balance board. Sure, there are other fitness boards and accessories out there, but the Simply Fit Board was the first to come up with the patented curved design that lets you twist in a full 180° or even 360° range rather than just rocking from side to side.
And let’s not forget that the Simply Fit Board is fun – why would you lay on your back and do crunches when you can practice your balance and twist the fat away?!
When one thinks of Shark Tank, it is understandable if you don’t instantly associate it with kids. However, over the years, some of the best and brightest ideas presented on Shark Tank have come from parents looking to make their lives a little easier, or looking to improve the quality of life for their children. From toys to safety devices, many creators who appeared on Shark Tank have had some inspired ideas when developing products for children. Here are some of the best Shark Tank products designed with kids in mind.
In this modern world, as technology becomes a more integrated part of our lives, it is inevitable that parents will at some point have to consider whether to give their children a smartphone or not. With busy schedules, moms and dads often spend more time away from their kids than they would like. Being able to drop your child a quick message, or check-in with loving words, can make this separation a lot easier for all. But with so many safety concerns, giving a smartphone to your child may not be something you feel comfortable doing. This is why the clever and cute Toymail is ideal.
Created by MIT graduate Gauri Nanda and Co-Creator Audry Hill, Toymail is a lovable stuffed animal-like walkie-talkie toy, available in a range of beautiful soft creatures . The toy connects via the Toymail app to the parent’s smartphone. Even Grandma and Grandpa can get involved regardless of distance. Via this app, you can send loving messages to your child throughout the day, let them know you’re on your way home, or even ask what they want for dinner. With a press of Toymail’s mouth, kids can listen to their messages and even record their own reply.
As every parent everywhere can attest to, bathtime can often be far more drama than fun, especially for children who are nervous bathers. Another Shark Tank innovation designed around kids’ love for their stuffed animals, SoapSox is a range of plush animal-shaped toys which can be taken directly into the bath. Outside of the bathtub, the SoapSox can be your child’s favorite cuddly toy. As the transition from playtime to bathtime happens, their toy can be happily brought along.
Featuring an inner stuffing made from antimicrobial sponge and a rugged outer casing of terry cloth, the machine washable SoapSox has pockets specifically designed to be filled with liquid soap, or even a soap bar. Simply add water and allow your child’s beloved toy to work up a lather and act as a washcloth. Winning the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) award for innovation in 2014, the SoapSox characters such as Hunter the Gator, Charlotte the Seal, and Taylor the Turtle will ensure bathtime is no longer dreaded.
Safety is a primary concern when choosing any toy for your children. However, finding a safe activity-based toy for both indoor and outdoor use can be a real challenge. Not only that, but large toys and playsets, purchased at great expense, are often outgrown within a few short years. Activity sets designed for adolescents and teenagers are usually unsafe for younger siblings.
Winning Parents’ Choice Award from the Parents’ Choice Foundation, and receiving the Seal of Approval from The National Parenting Center, enter the Jungle JumpaRoo and the answer to all of these problems. The Jungle JumpaRoo combines the bounce of a trampoline with the fun of a jungle gym and a swing, all in one safe playset for every age group. The base is comprised of a super bouncy inflatable tube. The low to the ground base makes it easy for toddlers to use, as well as minimizing the potential for injuries. The colorful center poles are for climbing, being sturdy enough to be used by several adults at once. The Jungle JumpaRoo is completed with a trapeze-like swing at its center.
Amazon customers have called the Jungle JumpaRoo the best toy ever. This durable set won’t damage floors when used indoors, and its specially powder-coated steel poles are designed to withstand the elements outdoors. Even the rubber tube can stand up to heat, cold and sun to ensure it can be enjoyed for many years to come.
The ideal toy will not only keep your child happy for hours, but will be educational also. Educational toys a provide value to both parents and children beyond mere entertainment value. As technology, and the need to understand it, advances around us, what kind of toy can be presented to kids today that will teach them about coding? Computer coder Scott Lininger and his partner Aidan Chopra have found a fun solution. Bitsbox is designed to help kids learn how to code, an incredibly valuable skill in today’s world.
Bitsbox is a monthly subscription-based product where children choose the app they wish to build and, using the Bitsbox interface via its website, follow the steps to build it themselves. Bitsbox apps are compatible, via any web browser, with all computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
This innovative and unique product has been designed with one thought in mind, to encourage kids want to learn how to code. Using Bitsbox, kids are shown how to physically type in code, a process missing from other nearest competitors. Once the app foundation has been built, the child can get creative and make the app their own. When finished, kids can even share their creations with mom and dad so everyone can get involved.
Amid a sea of technology, one children’s pastime never seems to get old, decorating eggs at Easter time (or any other time for that matter). This enjoyable, creative hobby can come with some messy drawbacks for parents though. Creator Scott Houdashell designed the EggMazing Egg Decorator so that the process of coloring eggs didn’t create a colorful, glitter-filled mess.
The EggMazing Egg Decorator comprises of an egg-shaped holder, into which a hard-boiled egg is placed. Using the non-toxic markers, hold your favorite colors to the egg and get spinning. As the EggMazing Egg Decorator rotates the egg, colorful and beautiful designs are created in an instant.
A simple yet solid idea, the EggMazing Egg Decorator is a wonderful example of the useful creations found only on Shark Tank.
